What We Do

We Work For You Through Education, Legislation and Cooperation

Alaska Farmers Union works to protect and enhance the economic well-being and quality of life of family farmers, fishermen, foresters, nursery growers and consumers throughout The Last Frontier.

Alaska Farmers Union’s members include farmers, fishermen, forestry workers, conservation organizations and food co-ops. Among our members are counted dairy farmers, fruit and vegetable growers, livestock producers and commercial fishermen.

Alaska Farmers Union is a home for producers who are committed to conserving our state’s natural bounty – whether they are long-established or beginning their agricultural journey.

Members engage elected officials and public agencies, and press them to implement and enforce laws and regulations that will strengthen Alaskan agriculture.

Alaska Farmers Union is committed to representing the interests of Alaskan farmers, foresters and fishermen on issues such as:

• Sustainability
